What's in A Name?

Your name gives you a sense of identity. Your name helps you discover who you are and where you come from. There is full authority when it comes to knowing who you are and whose you are. In the beginning when God created man, he gave him the name Adam, and one of the first jobs he gave Adam was to give names to everything put under his care. While naming is tied to authority in the scriptures, it also reveals intimacy. When you pursue true identity there is a true form of intimacy between you and our creator which produces the acts of being loved unconditionally.

There is power in knowing your identity and knowing your identity in Christ.

You are the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. There is power in your name and knowing who you are through Christ Jesus is a powerful thing. The name of Jesus is powerful! There is power in the name of Jesus! When you say the name of Jesus, authority is attached to His name, healing power is released, miracles is released, lives are transformed, hearts are mended, the blind can see, the deaf can hear, the lame can walk, there is power in the name of Jesus!!!!

God has named us all; therefore he has called us all. God calls men, women, and children, those who are churched and un-churched. God named us according to His purpose for a purpose that was given to us before we were formed in our mother's womb. When you know who you are and whose you are, and what you stand for then other people want be so quick to make quick judgments and assumptions about who they think you are, they want have to question your character or your ability to lead, your name is associated with your character, personality, the way you act, talk and how you walk with authority and power.

Knowing the power that lies within the authority of your name is how others will be able to recognize the uniqueness of you as an individual. Your name identifies your belonging in this world your last name is a family name shared by other people in your family and your name is how you introduce yourself to others. Be bold, confident and courageous when you say your name. Say your name knowing the power that it holds, the anointing, the ability to speak life, the power to command your day and to command goodness and mercy to cover you all the days of your life. Your name commands blessings over you and your family. Your name represents that you are a child of God. Your name represents that you are redeemed of the Lord and you are forgiven of your sins. Your name represents that by Jesus stripes you are healed. Your name represents that you are saved by grace. Know what's in a name, there is power in the name of Jesus!!! Knowing what's in a name knowing the power you have been given causes you to accept the authority God has given you.
