It’s Your Time
We all know life is not easy. It is full of ups and downs, twists and turns, and love and loss, all in some ways helping keep us grounded. Through all that life has to teach us, there is one thing that we must remember, and that is we have a course to run. This course should look different from our normal lives, this course is spiritual and it's God appointed. This course is about your personal development and maturity. This course was set before you to build character and strengthen you in different areas of your life.
This course cannot be run too fast; you must pace yourself, and not get distracted by how others are running their race. There have been so many times in my life I wanted to throw in the towel and give up on my race. I can remember talking to God one day, I was expressing how I felt, and I said, “Now God I know you said you won’t put more on me than I can bear, but this is too much, I just don’t know”. I began to cry out, asking him for guidance, it was at that moment he made things very clear that it was not that I could not bear it, but it was all the extra baggage that I was carrying while trying to run this race. It was time for me to let some things and people go.
They were wearing me down. That thing hit me like a ton of bricks! The extra weight I was carrying was making my race harder to run and my focus was not where it needed to be. My question to you is what or who are you carrying that is weighing you down? What things are you allowing to keep you from running your race in peace? I want to encourage you today, by letting you know it is time to run your race; it is time for you to change your perception of life. Put your focus on God and allow him to help you stay the course, no matter how hard life gets, just trust and know that God will give you the Grace to finish strong.
