It’s time!
Time is one of life’s greatest commodities, if not the greatest! If we know this to be true, then why do we waste so much of it? We drag our feet procrastinating, we put off to tomorrow what we can and should do today! Oh and the biggest one is taking time to do absolutely nothing; don’t worry I’m just talking to myself!
If time wasn’t of any importance, then why was it the first thing that God established after creating heaven and earth?!? Or why did He take the time to make a clear distinction between day and night? He did so, so that we would be able to tell time and use it wisely throughout the day. God actually gave us the example of just how to do it!
Genesis 1:3-5- “And God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. God saw that the light was good (pleasing, useful) and He affirmed and sustained it; and God separated the light [distinguishing it] from the darkness. And God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.”
I know I’ve not only wasted time, but also taken time for granted. I’ve procrastinated in doing a lot of things, from school to business. The worst is the time I’ve let drift away, just thinking about what I wanted to do, wheww! If you read the entire first chapter of Genesis, you see how God was doing something every minute of the day. For six days straight he worked until he finished the things he assigned himself to do. THEN on the seventh day he took a rest, but only after he finished! So what does that say to us?? Get up, it’s time and you still have a work to do!
It’s time out for procrastination and taking longer to do what you are assigned to do! Just take a moment to stop and think about just how much time you’ve wasted, this year alone! Yea, scary isn’t it! That’s ok! We aren’t able to get that time back BUT, we are able to start right now today! You may ask, how? Simply make a list of the things you want to accomplish by the end of the year, and then take one day at a time and knock those things out. I challenge you to do at least one thing for the next seven days and watch how God works! This last quarter is going to determine how you start your new year off! So let’s start it off with a bang!
You’ve got this and God has you,
